At the beginning of battle, Chibi-Robo starts out with 300% charge. Every time he uses an attack or takes DMG, Chibi Robo loses a portion of his charge (more charge is lost when he takes DMG then when he attacks. Use his down B move to charge back up. If Chibi-Robo reaches 0% charge, he can still fight but at a cost.
Every couple seconds after having 0% battery left, Chibi Robo has a chance of receiving 8% DMG and a stun effect from not having a charge. This of course leaves Chibi very open to attacks. The higher his charge is the more knockback he can dish out, so be sure to find time to recharge as the fight goes on.PLUG INTO ADVENTURE-One more unique aspect of Chibi-Robo is he has two very different speed options. Chibi-Robo has a plug that drags behind him a short distance during battle. While the plug is dragging behind him Chibi-Robo’s running speed and jumping abilities are slowed down quite a bit, but his launch back defense is slightly increased. Standing next to the plug and pressing A will allow Chibi-Robo to pick up the plug and carry it above his head, this increases his running speed and jumping a very good amount but makes him easier to launch with strong attacks. While holding the plug Chibi-Robo also gains a few new standard attack options, see STANDARD ATTACKS for more info.Specials-B- Storage- Chibi-Robo reaches downward and tries to pick up something.
Chibi can pick up items, opponents, and trash and store them inside his giant storage area head. If Chibi picks up an item, he will store it in his head for as long as he is onstage, and above his health meter will be a small circle that shows what Chibi Robo has stored currently. Press B again to take out that item and use whenever you want. If Chibi is directly next to an opponent, he can pick them up as well. If he picks up an opponent, he will suck them into his head and deliver a string of DMG before shooting them out dealing good knockback as well (Total of 12% DMG over the course of 3 seconds) but it is hard to catch opponents so you must be right next to them to pick them up, and if Chibi Robo takes DMG while attacking an opponent like this he will automatically let them go. If Chibi-Robo uses this attack while not around an item or opponent, he may pick up some trash which can be used as a throwing item to deal a mere 3% DMG. Uses 5% Battery to pick up something and 5% to throw it.Side B- Zip Lash- A chargeable move with a few functions, Chibi-Robo picks up his cord and begins to spin it around like a lasso above his head.
Simply pressing side B will make Chibi-Robo toss his cord forward a medium distance which doesn’t deal that much DMG but gives good pushback. Holding side B will make Chibi swing his plug over his head like a lasso. The longer B is held the further Chibi will toss his plug, but the more energy it will use up. As B is held, Chibi will swing his Plug faster and the plug will erupt with blue electricity making the DMG received even stronger (about 5 seconds of charging) and the longer it is held the further it will travel. Releasing B will cause Chibi-Robo to throw is plug forward. If the plug is glowing with electricity and it hits an opponent, the plug will be plugged into the opponent and Chibi-Robo can steal health from them! Once an opponent is plugged in they will be stuck and must button mash to break free, while Chibi-Robo can button mash B to steal health from opponents and add it to his own.
Once plugged in though the attack won’t deal knockback, so if you want to use the attack as a knockback attack with electric DMG you will need to press A quickly once the plug is plugged in, this will cause Chibi-Robo to yank the cord back and deal backward knockback. The connection will also be broken if Chibi-Robo is attacked. This can also be used as a tether recovery. If used in the air, Chibi-Robo will be able to fly a short period of time while using the plug like a helicopter. Lastly while holding B you can also aim the zip lash which will be indicated by small red dots!Up B- Chibi Copter- Chibi-Robo opens his head to reveal a tiny copter blade as Chibi-Robo is lifted high into the air with the Chibi Copter.
After reaching his peak height he will descend slowly but can be canceled out by pressing any attack button. If an opponent is hit by the blades they will be carried upward with Chibi-Robo and receive 6% DMG.
Uses 10% Battery to fly upward and 2% for every second he descends downward. Not a strong attack recovery, but it gains quite a bit of air.Down B- Recharge- A large outlet plug appears behind Chibi and he plugs himself into it. 20% Battery is recharged every second he is plugged in. However, if Chibi-Robo is attacked while he is charging this will automatically unplug him from the outlet. Charge Chibi-Robo up to deal more knockback to opponents!Final Smash- Mecha Chibi-Robo- Chibi-Robo levitates as his robot space ship flies by and picks him up. The background turns to a dark blue shade as the ship can be seen quickly transforming into a gigantic robot fighting version of Chibi-Robo from the finale of Zip Lash! Chibi-Robo winds back both his fists as two targets (about three Bowser character lengths apart) appear for you to control.
Once you are ready, press any attack button and Mega Chibi-Robo will slam his fists into the spot where the targets are appearing with massive force! This is almost identical to how Bowser’s final smash (in SSB Ultimate) works, except with two targets you can cover more ground to hit more opponents. After delivering the devastating attack which has the potential to immediately KO fighters into the screen, Chibi’s ship flies back onstage and drops him off where he last was.Standard Moves-A – Chibi delivers a punch forward with his right robotic hand.A (While holding plug) – Chibi leans back and tosses his plug forward.
This attack has pretty decent DMG and knockback, and comedically drags Chibi-Robo forward a little bit with the plug.AAA – Chibi delivers two punches forward with his right and left robotic hands, followed by a flurry of kicks. Finishes off with a roundhouse kick, this robot means business!A Left/Right- Chibi-Robo turns around and slams forward with his backside.A Dash- Chibi-Robo performs a rolling attack on his side that can deal upward diagonal knockback.A Left/Right (while holding plug) - Chibi leans back and tosses his plug forward. This attack has pretty decent DMG and knockback, and comedically drags Chibi-Robo forward a little bit with the plug.A Dash (while holding plug) - Chibi leans back and tosses his plug forward.
This attack has pretty decent DMG and knockback, and comedically drags Chibi-Robo forward a little bit with the plug.A Up- Chibi-Robo thrusts both of his robot hands upward while they spin rapidly.A Down- Chibi-Robo performs a spin kick, along with that his cord will spin around also and can deliver an additional hit.Smash Left/Right- Chibi-Robo takes out the toothbrush item and performs 3 intense brushing attacks in front of him. A longer attack lag smash attack that can leave him open to attacks, but it is strong and also momentarily makes the floor around him slippery (as indicated by water puddles that remain in effect for a short while).Smash Up- Chibi-Robo opens up his head compartment and a large “!” symbol pops out. This is a short range up smash attack but deals impressive launching power!Smash Down- Chibi-Robo takes out a spoon item and digs on both sides of him. Like the Villager’s down smash, this can bury opponents leaving them open for another attack.Aerial Neutral- Chibi performs a cartwheel attack.Aerial Forward- Chibi-Robo takes out the water squirter item and launches a blast of water forward that deals minimal DMG but similar pushback as the F.L.U.D.D special.Aerial Backward- Chibi grabs onto his plug and spins it around like a helicopter blade behind him.Aerial Down- Chibi picks up his plug and forcefully throws it downward.
